While some reports speculated that Simpson gave the ceremony in France a slip because she and Longoria are no longer friends, Longoria’s rep insists that the case is not so.
The rep said that it wasn’t a feud that kept Jessica away from the A-list couple’s wedding, but the fact that her cousin was getting married on the same day.
"Jessica was invited to Eva and Tony's wedding. They are really good friends. Unfortunately her cousin was also getting married on the same day!" TMZ.com quoted the rep, as saying.
Simpson's rep confirmed that the singer was attending her cousin’s wedding in Texas on July 7.
Eva and Jessica have been close pals ever since sharing stylist Ken Paves. Longoria even appeared in Simpson's "Public Affair" video.
