At the conclusion of their French holiday, Brad Pitt and partner Angelina Jolie spent time Monday in a local bowling alley.
Before departing from the western Charente/Dordogne region of France where they were for ten days, they took command of “Le Palace Vert”, the nation’s tiniest amusement park for families, along with pal Mariane Pearl and son.
Proprietor of “Le Palace Vert” Patrick Bernard informed People that as soon as they came, the couple, Pearl and the four kids (Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Adam Pearl) went straight to the lanes.
According to Bernard, Pitt was very hands-on with the kids and was supportive of them whenever they struck down a pin.
He said, “At one point though, because the children don’t have the strength to always get the ball down the lane, it sometimes stops. Brad thought he’d go down the lane to push it along. He slipped and fell on his back hard.”
The actor was alright, but Mrs. Bernard felt dismayed at having missed the opportunity to give Brad Pitt mouth-to-mouth.
The Mr. and Mrs. Smith star displayed his skill at air hockey while Jolie accompanied Pearl, whom she played in A Mighty Heart.
Bernard points out that, “Brad was particularly good at it.” “He and the three boys played two-a-side teams against one another for almost an hour.”
He elaborates by saying, “With only two lanes we’re certainly the smallest bowling in France, so we’re still having trouble realizing we spent Monday afternoon with the most famous couple in the world.”
At the end of their visit, the two stars gave the Bernards a cordial thank-you uttered partially in French, and then autographed a Livre d’Or with a message to the couple’s 15-year-old girl.
Just before the trip to the bowling center, Pitt also created some drama in the bouncy castle when the family had a day-long outing at Massignac’s Aventure-Parc.
Seems like this down-to-earth Hollywood couple knows how to have fun and avoid the crowds at the same time! Hats off to the pair.
