In an interview to be screened on US television tomorrow, the 28-year-old actor says she and her husband are definitely ready to extend their brood. Their daughter Suri recently turned one.
"We're having the best time, it's so amazing," Holmes tells Entertainment Tonight.
Cruise, 44, has two adopted children - daughter Isabella, 15, and son Connor, 12 - with ex-wife Nicole Kidman. Holmes says the role of stepmother is one she relishes.
"The kids are so sweet, they're so great with Suri and she lights up when she sees them," she says. "We have so many kids in our house. There's always this wonderful chatter and the great noise of kids."
The actor, who recently returned to work filming the movie Mad Money with Diane Keaton and Queen Latifah, says Cruise is a "great father, so it came as no shock that when we had Suri he was amazing with the baby".
