Clooney feels 'sorry' for young Hollywood stars like Lindsay and Paris

George Clooney is glad that he is not part of ‘young’ Hollywood any longer, for he feels that today’s young stars like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan are just put under too much pressure.

Clooney, 46, also admits that he feels ‘sorry’ for famous youngsters like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton, because of the constant media attention on them.

The actor insists that were he in their place or age, he would probably be a drug addict trying to deal with all the attention.

"If I were as famous as some of those kids who are on the magazines right now at 21 years old, I'd be shooting crack under my eyeball,” Clooney says in an interview in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine, on newsstands Monday..

"We are always going to be that society that slows down to look at the car wreck on the side of the road. I think we're just in one of those places right now, and it seems to be focused on younger kids Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan and people like that," he said.

And though Clooney is confident that today’s youngsters will learn to deal with the pressure and go on with their lives, he certainly would not want to swap places with any of them.

"They'll get through it, but I wouldn't want to be growing up around that," the actor insisted.

Clooney will now be seen soon on the big screen when his new movie Ocean’s Thirteen hits theaters on June 8 this year.
