Or so says a new book ‘Rules for Saying Goodbye’ by author Katherine Taylor, in which her heroine of the same name is a barmaid.
According to the New York Daily News, Taylor, as her alter-ego writes in the book: "Gwyneth Paltrow came in. I wanted to tell her that I had been making a list and she was on it, but Gwyneth was not stingy, only stupid. I thought she probably couldn't calculate 15%."
However, Paltrow is not as bad as other celebs like David Byrne, "who never tipped in any of the three bars where I worked in New York", or "Rupert Everett, Parker Posey, Madonna, no tip".
Through her book, Taylor also reveals that stars like Tobey Maguire and Barbra Streisand are paltry tippers.
"Tobey Maguire... Barbra Streisand, John Travolta's wife [Kelly Preston ]. Almost no tips at all," she states in the book.
And if that was not all, Taylor also reveals that "Paul McCartney was once too drunk to tip."
And if you thought that Taylor’s tales were all a figment of her imagination, then don’t, for she confirmed through her publisher, Farrar, Straus and Giroux, that she has worked as a West Village bartender, and that all the celebrity anecdotes are true.
