Spice Girls to pocket £1m each for Tesco TV ad

The reunited Brit band Spice Girls will pocket a whopping 1 million pounds each for a 'Tesco' ad, in which they will make fun of themselves.

Tesco is one of the sponsors for the girl band's upcoming world tour and will follow the tradition of the old Jane Horrocks commercials.

"Tesco is one of the tour sponsors and has been desperate to get them in an advert," the Mirror quoted a source, as saying.

"They will be sending themselves up, in the tradition of the old Jane Horrocks ads, and viewers should find it funny," the source said.

The ad will be aired after November 12, following the release of the band's greatest hits album.
