Emma Watson named 'Best Movie Actress' at UK Kids' Choice Awards

Emma Watson is surely a favorite with kids, for the young starlet won the Best Movie Actress award at Nickelodeon's first ever UK Kids' Choice Awards.


The 17-year-old actress was honored for her outstanding performance in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

"This is so cool. I'm so thrilled," People quoted her, as saying.

Watson, wearing a gold-sequined top and Diesel jeans, defeated the likes of Cameron Diaz, Dakota Fanning and Keira Knightley for the award.

Johnny Depp was voted the best movie actor, while 'The Simpsons Movie' took the best movie title.

High School Musical's Zac Efron and Ashley Tisdale picked up awards for best TV actor and best TV actress at the awards ceremony, held on Oct 20 at London's ExCel.

The event also honored David Beckham as the best sportsman and Avril Lavigne as the best female singer.

Nancy Drew's Emma Roberts got the 'Greenie Award', created to encourage kids to recycle.
