Brad Pitt thinks pal George Clooney will make a perfect politician

Pitt tells Parade magazine that while he does not see himself entering into politics anytime soon, he can see Clooney doing so.

Pitt tells Parade magazine that while he does not see himself entering into politics anytime soon, he can see Clooney doing so.

Pitt also tells the mag that the reason he is not thinking about a career in politics is because he believes that he can help people better if he were not a politician.

"Oh, my God! I never thought about it. I have no desire at this point. Maybe I serve better by not going through that door," Usmagazine.com quoted him, as saying.

"George [Clooney] should do it! He'd be quite good," he says.

He also thinks that Ben Affleck would make a great politician.

"I think Ben Affleck should run," he said.

Pitt also insists that his charity work is not the result of his relationship with partner Angelina Jolie.

"That's idiotic! I do it because I'm a member of the human race," he says.

"In Africa you see people on the street dying from AIDS, children left without parents. We're all cells of one body, with the same emotions and desires for our families--for a little dignity and a chance for a better life.

"Let's focus on that! I believe in the founding principles of America. I want to fight for that. I know most Americans feel the same way."
