The offices of Britney's new attorney, Sorrell Trope, are located in the building.
The misdemeanor charges stem from an August 6 parking lot incident and each carry a maximum penalty of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. An arraignment has been scheduled for October 10.
According to Access Hollywood, no California driver's license has ever been issued to the pop star.
However, it is unlikely that a potential fine of $2,000/- could be the reason for Britney's public distress.
On Tuesday (19 Sep 2007) Los Angeles County Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon, ruling in a custody dispute between Britney and her ex-husband Kevin Federline, mandated that Britney submit to random biweekly drug tests.
Unlike an earlier public appearance with one-year-old son Jayden James during which the pop star was demurely dressed on this occasion she was characteristically attired to show skin. A white see through top showed a black demi bra and lot of cleavage underneath.
