Kate Middleton tells beau Prince William: 'Keep me out of the limelight'

British royal Prince William’s girlfriend Kate Middleton made her beau promise that he would keep her out of the glare of photogs before agreeing to rekindle their romance.

The couple are back in the UK after a break in the Seychelles, and a pal reveals that the brunette used the holiday to air some of her worries – including the constant media attention on her.

“Kate decided to use the holiday to say everything she wanted to. The break marked a fresh start for them both so she took the opportunity to voice her feelings,” the Daily Express quoted the pal, as saying.

“She told William she doesn’t want to be the focus of attention at high-profile events. She wants him to keep her out of the glare.

“You only have to look at what happened at the Concert For Diana. Kate was sitting a distance away from William – and that was her decision to do so.

“Harry’s girlfriend Chelsy Davy seems to enjoy the attention but Kate’s not a loud girl. She’s reserved and prefers nights in.”

The friend added: “Kate went clubbing during the split to take her mind off things but reined it in when she saw there was still interest in her.

“When Kate told William what she wanted if they were to make a go of things again, he was very understanding and promised to look after her.

“There’s a very deep love and respect between them, they’re both steady and strong. Kate’s entering a new phase in her life and it’s very exciting.”

Middleton, in the meanwhile, has quit her job as an accessories buyer for Jigsaw to concentrate on a career as a photographer.
