The two were noticed getting close to each other at the Cannes film festival, and the Titanic star took the actress for a joy ride on his yacht, following his arrival in France.
A friend claims that the Academy award nominee, and the actress, who played a small role in Elizabethtown, are inseparable, and that they did not get together earlier because DiCaprio has never been single.
The friend added that Fernandez has the actor all for herself, but still they cannot make much of the time available, for things are moving very fast.
"Daya and Leo are inseparable, They have known each other for years but have never got together because Leo's never single. Now Daya has him all to herself in sunny Cannes and things are moving really quickly - they can't get enough of each other." The Mirror quoted the pal, as saying.
In the middle of this speculation, there seems to be no sign of Rafaeli.
DiCaprio is in the Cannes to promote his environmental documentary 11th Hour and he is facing criticism for his own carbon footprint.
Critics have lashed out at the actor for the extent he is going to promote his film.
