Lindsay Lohan slams nicotine gum endorsement reports

Lindsay Lohan has dismissed reports that she has been paid to endorse Ariva gum – the smoking cessation product.

Rumors that the Mean Girls star signed a money-spinning advertising deal with Ariva started circulating after she was spotted clutching the nicotine substitute on multiple occasions.

Ariva is a compressed form of tobacco which allows a person to consume nicotine without smoking.

However, Lohan's rep has slammed the reports, saying that the actress is just using the product to cut down her smoking.

"Lindsay has not been paid to endorse Ariva," Usmagazine quoted the rep, as saying.

"She is just a fan and is using it to help cut down her smoking as she is currently in the studio recording tracks for her 3rd album," the rep added.
