Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe cozying up again?

Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon and actor Ryan Phillippe, who separated in November 2006 after being married for seven years, may be getting back together.

The two have been spotted shopping, jogging and lunching together in Los Angeles, reports Page Six.

Their separation had followed tabloid reports that the Crash star had romanced Aussie actress Abbie Cornish on the sets of Stop Loss in Texas.

Reports had suggested that the Legally Blonde star found out about her husband's alleged romance with Cornish after reading a saucy note on his BlackBerry phone.

Abbie had denied the speculation telling Daily News, "We were very good friends and we did spend a lot of time together, yeah."

Last month Witherspoon called off her three month relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal. Shortly thereafter she was seen with Ryan Phillipe at their three-year-old son Deacon's school talent show in Santa Monica, but the two kept their distance.

The distance now seems to have considerably reduced.

"They [Reese and Ryan] met for lunch this week at the Votre Sante health-food restaurant, a regular Brentwood haunt for Reese on San Vicente," says a Page Six source.

"And they're going on runs together around the Brentwood Country Club. Both are regular, dedicated runners. Running is a very healing, meditative thing, so maybe it will work its magic on them."

A friend of Witherspoon told Page Six, "Reese and Ryan are trying to work it out. They are still close."

A rep for Phillippe denied he was getting back with Witherspoon.

Thirty-one-year-old Reese Witherspoon is a former child model who studied the literature track at Stanford. She was named one of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People. She has made her mark in Hollywood both with fans as well as critics having amused us as an airhead in Legally Blonde, impressed us in Cruel Intentions, and wowed the whole world when she won an Oscar for Walk the Line.
