Brit and K-Fed headed for custody fight

Federline in court to challenge wild woman Spears for kids

Oh babies!

Wacky warbler Britney Spears' off-the-wall antics have launched her into what promises to be a bitter battle with ex-hubby Kevin Federline over their two kids.

K-Fed fired the first salvo in Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday with an order to show cause why he shouldn't get full custody of their sons, Sean Preston, 22 months, and Jayden James, 10 months.

The would-be rapper, who has two kids with actress Shar Jackson, is worried Spears is exposing the boys to "unnecessary risk" with her bizarre behavior, sources said.

Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, marched into court yesterday with "documents that appeared to be an inch and a half thick," one source said. "He definitely went to the clerk with them."

A source told People magazine Kaplan "hopes to get Kevin primary custody."

When Spears and Federline's divorce was finalized less than two weeks ago, they agreed to split custody of the children.

With the latest court filing, it's likely Brit's short fuse is lit and burning fast.

When Federline first sought full custody early this year, Spears paid surprise visit to his home. When he wouldn't let her in, she played Barry Bonds with her umbrella and a paparazzo's SUV.
Spears, despite a stint at Promises rehab center after her freaky head-shaving stunt, has been a fixture on the nightclub and party scene.

Federline's request for primary custody comes as reports surfaced of the tarnished pop princess frolicking topless and simulating sex in the at an L.A. hotel pool with an extra from a video she shot.

How ugly can it get?

Well, Star magazine will report this week that a raged-filled Spears accused her own mom of sleeping with K-Fed just to hurt her feelings. Lynne Spears, who got on Brit's bad side by telling her to lay off the partying, is "deeply hurt" by the oddball allegation, the mag said.
