Los Angeles Premiere of the 'Cloverfield'

The Los Angeles Premiere of the 'Cloverfield' at the Paramount Pictures Lot Los Angeles Wednesday, January 16 attracted a lot of young Hollywood celebrities.

Amongst those attending were Ashley Simpson with Pete Wentz, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, Ashley Tisdale, Lindsay Lohan, Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge and Will.i.am.
The Sci-Fi thriller produced by JJ Abrams and directed by Matt Reeves is the story of five young friends caught in the midst of an attack on New York by skyscraper sized monsters.

National Board of Review of Motion Pictures Awards (2007) Gala

Leading Hollywood stars attended the National Board of Review (NBR) of Motion Pictures Awards annual gala at Cipriani 42nd Street New York City Tuesday, January 15, sponsored by Italian jeweler Bvlgari.

George Clooney, named the best actor for the film Michael Clayton, attended the event with his girlfriend Sarah Larson.

Also present were Jennifer Garner and her husband Ben Affleck, Michael Douglas and his wife Catharine Zeta-Jones, Julie Christie, Denzel Washington, Tommy Lee Jones, Kate Winslet, young and upcoming stars Ellen Page and Emile Hirsch.

NBR members annually view and rate over 280 films and honor the best of them at their annual award gala.

Warm and snug mama to be Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba, 26, appeared as a guest on 'The Late Show with David Letterman', Monday, January 28, 2008 and opened up about her pregnancy.

She arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theater looking warm and snug in a stylish brown coat with black tabs on cuff, black shoulder epaulets and black edging on the pockets and the hem.

Under the coat she wore a dark brown hooded leather jacket with fur detail on the hood.

With a scarf wrapped around the neck and wearing brown gloves she rightly looked dressed to keep two people warm.

Her dark blue jeans with chocolate brown suede flat winter boots added to the style quotient. Her hair was neatly tied at the back.

During the show she changed into a bright red knee length spaghetti strap empire waist dress with black sheer stockings and black high heel pumps. She looked elegant with light makeup wearing just earrings for jewelry and with her hair left open.

Speaking with David Letterman on the show, Jessica Alba opened up about her pregnancy but remained coy when asked if she was having a boy or a girl.

"I'm not saying anything. I might know if it's a boy or a girl," she said.

The Sin City star also revealed what it was like in the early weeks of her pregnancy.

"It was hairy. All day sickness, it really wasn't fun. You're expanding in places you never knew existed, and you're like, 'what's going on here?'"

Stylish mom Katie Holmes glams up New York City

Katie Holmes was in NYC Monday, January 14 to promote her film 'Mad Money' and she did it with great passion appearing on three shows within the day - 'Good Morning America', 'Live with Regis and Kelly' and 'The Late Show with David Letterman'.

She arrived at the Good Morning America show wearing a camel round neck fleece coat styled with chic dolman sleeves cinched at the waist with a fabric belt over a blue collar satin dress and stylish beige pumps.

She then quickly changed to be at the Live with Regis and Kelly where she looked completely different wearing gray dress pants and a black crew neck sweater with white diamond pattern on it matched with brown strappy stilettos.

She looked most spectacular arriving at the Letterman Show wearing a white crew neck dress under a scarlet double breasted empire waist seaming coat with a split-lapel collar, shiny dyed-to-match buttons and wide buttoned cuffs.

With her super glossy hair and black leather high heeled pumps she looked all set to wow the crew at the Ed Sullivan Theater.

On Good Morning America, when quizzed what her daughter Suri's first words were, Katie replied, "She said, Mama, then Dada, and then everything else. She's a great mimic."

Jessica Alba at Australia Week 2008 black tie gala

Jessica Alba disappointed us at the G'Day USA: Australia Week 2008 black tie gala at Waldorf Astoria hotel, New York City, Saturday, January 26. Wearing black is always safe but you can still go wrong Jessica managed to prove with a maternity variation that can be succinctly defined as silly.

Her floor length single shoulder black dress was bereft of form and feminity. It featured a chunky jeweled buckle at the shoulder strap, a bold variation that did nothing more than rob the dress of its residual elegance from its fabric and fall.

Alba wore a yellow gold bracelet on her right hand. Her hair was tied up at the nape in a loose chignon.

When you are as beautiful as Jessica Alba and pregnant to boot you can easily brush aside a sartorial misstep. The 26-year-old actress still managed to look radiant and confident.

The Australia Day Black Tie Gala, attended by 1,000 prominent Australian and American arts, philanthropic, government and business executives, marked the close of G'Day USA program for 2008.

The event commenced with a red carpet arrival, followed by a unique dinner experience incorporating fashion and three time winner of the Australian MTV Video Music Awards Best Male Performer Shannon Noll, alongside award winning Indigenous performer, Christine Anu and the Qantas Choir who flew from Australia to perform at the special event. The focus of the 2008 Gala was to profile the exceptional work undertaken by Australia’s Royal Flying Doctors Service.

The G'DAY USA Program is a short term Cultural Exchange which offers High School students and staff the opportunity to travel, as a group, to the USA during the school holidays.

Rihanna at the 9th NRJ Music Awards in Cannes

Rihanna lived up to her recently acquired image of a young celebrity fashion icon walking the red carpet at the 9th NRJ Music Awards in Cannes, France, Saturday, January 26.

The Barbados singer won International Song of the Year for "Don't Stop The Music."

Rihanna, 19, stood out in a grey Grecian-inspired single shoulder flowing dress that grazed the floor. It accentuated her curves, ruched at the waist to her right side.

The dress had a gathered low waist at the back with a colorful striped long bow that emphasized the slight train and a knee high slit revealing Rihanna's well formed calves.

The songstress looked totally at ease and walked tall in her black high heeled basket-weave ankle-wrap strap sandals.

Her chic hair do, short and straight, revealed star tattoos on her neck and three piercing on her ears.

Britney bares her boobs changing clothes in a dance studio

Britney Spears managed to flash her boobs while changing her top in the middle of a practice dance routine at a dance studio in LA on Sunday, January 27.

Hollywood.tv video showing Britney briefly flashing her bosom as she dances with herself inside a privately-rented studio with only Sam Lutfi present.

Spears visited the privately-rented dance studio with manager Sam Lutfi who apparently was the only person other than Britney in the studio at the time of the wardrobe malfunction. Before it happened, Lutfi was seen filming the pop tart using a video camera.

Hollywood.tv videographers, however, managed to capture the 'Yet another Britney baring' through a crack in the door from outside the dance studio!

Meanwhile, Danny Haines, a former friend of Sam Lutfi has dished the dirt on him to Blender magazine, reports Pagesix.com

Haines is one of the three people who have had a restraining order served on Lutfi in the past.

Painting Lutfi as unsavory and controlling, Haines claims that when their friendship ended Lutfi was vicious - telling him to "just kill himself." He e-mailed photos of Haines in the buff to his family, friends and co-workers.

Referring to his mother Lutfi said he hoped "Satan devours her flesh and bones" and he looked forward to the day when he would "p - - - on her burial."

Neither Blender nor Page Six were able to track Lutfi down for comment.

Halle Berry looked happy as she snacked on a cookie in West Hollywood, California, Saturday, January 27. Her new hair do made her look even happier just as her tight fitting dress made her very pregnant, almost ready to pop!

She admitted to being 3 months pregnant in September 2007 so that makes her just 7 months pregnant now.

The 41-year-old mama-to-be seems to be relishing every moment of her impending motherhood and that is what is important, to her and to daddy-to-be French-Canadian supermodel Gabriel Aubry who is ten years Halle's junior.

This is the first pregnancy for Berry who has had two failed marriages - to David Justice and Eric Benet.

Angelina Jolie to mark her mother's first death anniversary with day-long vigil

Angelina Jolie is marking the first anniversary of her mother’s death with a day long vigil.

The Oscar winner, her children and her brother James Haven will visit the Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai hospital, where Marcheline died aged 57 after battling ovarian cancer as part of the day commemorating her life.

Once there, she will be giving the hospital a donation for its women’s cancer research fund.

She will also visit her mother’s grave, and show her four kids old pictures of Marcheline, as well as cook her mother’s favorite dish – thick vegetable soup.

A close friend of the family revealed that Jolie and her sibling wanted to dedicate the day solely to their mother’s memory.

“James and Angelina adored their mother. They want this day to be solely dedicated to her memory,” the Daily Express quoted the source, as saying.

However, Haven is said to be worried of the effect the day might take on his sister.

“Angie still weeps for her a lot and James has been saying how he’s worried she will fall apart on Sunday,” the pal said.

Johnny Depp to step into Heath Ledger's last role?

Johnny Depp may step in for tragic Heath Ledger in what has turned out to be the late actor’s last film.

Oscar nominee Ledger was just six weeks from finishing fantasy movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus when he died while on a break.

According to a studio source, director Terry Gilliam now wants friend Johnny Depp to step into the role.

"There is a point in the film when Heath falls through a magic mirror," The Sun quoted the source, as saying.

“He could change into another character after that and that is where Johnny would come in.
“It’s a weird, fantasy, time-travel movie so Heath’s character could easily change appearance. It would be a poignant moment.

“Johnny’s not working at the moment so everyone is praying he will do it.”

Katie Holmes' Valentines very lonely

Katie Holmes has revealed that she never had a chance to celebrate Valentines Day when she was young because she was not popular among boys.

The 29 year-old actress confessed that she wasn't famous among boys when she was young and used to feel jealous of her classmates when they received presents of love on Feb 14.

Therefore, she always looks forward to a romantic Valentine's Day with husband Tom Cruise.

"I went to an all-girls school and every Valentine's Day they would announce who had flowers in the office,” Mirror quoted Holmes, as saying.

"My name was never called – never," she added.

Adnan Ghalib back with Britney Spears, his wife files for separation

Adnan Ghalib and Britney Spears were spotted together again Tuesday night, January 22, belying rumors of a split. Meanwhile, Ghalib's wife of five years, Azlynn Elizabeth Berry, filed for separation January 18 citing irreconcilable differences.

Ghalib and Britney dined together at Tony Taverna's Greek and Eats in Malibu and then drove over to Pinkberry in Brentwood for some dessert in Britney's white Mercedes convertible.

They then headed for Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. On the way their car struck a motorcyclist who was chasing them.

Both the vehicles stopped and as Adnan got out to check, the motorcyclist promptly apologized acknowledging that he was at fault.

Britney, who appeared to be in a cheerful and in a paparazzi friendly mood, also inquired about the stricken motorcyclist.

Birtney's car sustained a deep scratch on the left hand side next to the driver seat.

Meanwhile, according to documents obtained by People magazine, Adnan's wife Azlynn filed for separation on January 18, 2008 and is seeking spousal support.

Adnan is reported to have been making over $200,000 a year taking photos of Britney.

The couple married on Dec. 18, 2003 and has no children.

Heath Ledger's death leaves ex Michelle Williams 'devastated'

Heath Ledger’s former partner and the mother of his only child, actress Michelle Williams is said to be ‘devastated’ by the news of the star’s death.

The couple met on the sets of their movie Brokeback Mountain in 2005 and soon welcomed their daughter Matilda into the world.

A source close to Williams, who was on location in Sweden when she got the news, said that she was in a state of shock.

"She's devastated," People quoted the source, as saying.

Although their relationship ended, the couple agreed to put their 2-year old daughter first.
Another source added: "He was absolutely in love with his daughter. And he really liked what he did [acting]. He spoiled [Matilda] rotten. He was playful and very funny with her."

Ledger himself spoke about how fatherhood had changed his life, stating in an earlier interview: “Fatherhood has changed me as an artist because I feel things on a deeper level. I think my performances will grow simultaneously."

Miley Cyrus looked glamorous and all of 15 years at the film premiere of Walt Disney Pictures 'Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best Of Both Worlds Concert 3D' held at El Capitan Theatre, Hollywood Thursday, January 17.

Miley wore an exquisite sleeveless silver sequin mini dress accented with attached grey chiffon gathered panels crossed in front.

She matched the dress with maroon colored pumps. Her auburn colored hair, set in soft curls, looked just right, giving her ensemble a touch of teenaged nonchalance.

Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen going back to custody court

Denise Richards is taking her ex-husband Charlie Sheen to court as he is coming in the way of her plans to include the former couple's two daughters in a new reality TV show.

Sheen has refused to let his daughters, three-year-old Sam and two-year-old Lola, take part in show and so the ex-couple is going to court later this week to fight it out, reports the New York Post.

According to sources, Charlie ‘is absolutely 100 percent vehemently opposed to this.

The former Bond girl wants the court to revoke Sheen's power as the children's father in this matter, so she can move forward with her plans without his consent.

The couple have had ongoing custody issues ever since they parted ways.

Simon Cowell to donate $175m to charity

‘American Idol’ judge Simon Cowell showed that he was not all about cutting remarks with an announcement that he will be donating $175m (90 million pounds) to charity.

The 48 year old, who is believed to be worth 194million dollars, revealed that he will donate this amount to a mix of children’s and animal charities.

Cowell admits that he started thinking about his cash after a chat with his mother Julie on holiday in Barbados over Christmas.

“Mum asked, ‘Have you ever made a will?’ I said, ‘Thanks a lot!’ But it got me thinking,” The Sun quoted him, as saying.

He also believes that his charity would not offend his family or girlfriend Terri Seymour.

“Hopefully I’ll be a lot older when it happens, so it won’t affect them much!” he added.

Britney in good spirits after deposition

Britney not only made it to her deposition Monday, January 21, in her child custody dispute with ex Kevin Federline but went through the two and a half hour plus session with Federline lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan and emerged confident, even cheerful.

When she drove in to Kaplan's office at around 10:40AM along with manager Sam Lutfi in her white Mercedes-Benz SL65 she looked grim.

Apparently whatever transpired inside Kaplan's office wasn't all that bad because as she drove away after the deposition at around 1:20 PM she looked composed and responded to paparazzi questions.

Britney is still avoiding a direct comment on the current state of her relationship with picked-off-the-street boyfriend Adnan Ghalib who she now appears to have jettisoned.

Following the four hour dance practice on Sunday, January 20, for her next music video and the deposition on Monday Britney appears to be back on track to salvage her professional and personal life.

The problem is there is no knowing when she will get derailed again. We are hoping it won't happen this time around.

Britney gets back to work for her next music video

Britney practiced a dance routine for her next music video at the Millennium Dance studios for nearly three hours Sunday, January 20, along with a friend in an indication that the troubled pop star is now heeding saner counsel and attempting to salvage her career.

"She is working on the choreography for her song "Hot as Ice," Robert Baker, the owner of the dance studio told People.

"She rehearsed an amazing routine with a chair," Baker added.

While Adnan Ghalib may not believe it does appear Britney has moved on. However, that is not to suggest her bizarre behavior has ceased. It hasn't. The troubled pop star is now becoming friendly with other photogs!

As she emerged from the dance studio at 9:30 PM she sought out Filipe, one of the two photogs she invited the night earlier into her Beverly Hill house for a four hour tête-à-tête over champagne.

Baker also confirmed that Britney had other things on her mind.

"I let her use my personal copy of Blackout. She forgot her own CD," he said.

Katie Holmes' new slim avatar – all thanks to the 'KH' diet

Katie Holmes is suddenly looking all so lean thanks to her raw veggie ‘KH’ diet, which mainly consists of broccoli.

Holmes has shed nearly three stone through her eating regime.

An insider revealed that the wife of superstar Tom Cruise is following the ‘KH’ diet, which stands for ‘Katie Holmes’ diet.

“Katie has had a hectic few months and as well as running around after Suri, she has been juggling work with a strict exercise plan,” the Daily Star quoted the insider, as saying.

“The diet called the ‘KH’ diet –for Katie Holmes –consists of a bowl of carrot soup for breakfast, followed by raw broccoli for lunch and dinner.

“Obviously Katie has a small amount of protein with the broccoli such as steamed tofu, or fish, but the green superfood is the key.

“She and Tom are buying organic broccoli by the bucket-load. Katie loves running at the moment and has been jogging a lot of late,” the insider added.

'Michael Jackson is the most misunderstood man in the world'

Michael Jackson's UK bodyguard, Matt Fiddes, insists that the pop star is a very nice man.

He says that during the days when his mother was battling breast cancer, Jackson called her regularly to cheer her up.

"Michael must be the most misunderstood man in the world. He is such a nice guy behind closed doors,” British tabloid The Sun quoted him as saying.

"Once you get to know him, you see that - but for most people his huge international profile tends to get in the way,” he added.

Matt even says that he does not have any qualms about his children meeting Jackson, despite the child abuse allegations that have dogged the singer for years.

"During a visit to London in 2002, Michael took my stepsons, Archie and Charlie, on a shopping trip to Hamleys toy store. He's a great guy and I didn't have any problem with it,” he said.

Matt also recalled how he once dressed like Jackson in the US to deceive the press.

"Michael would come up with elaborate plans to escape the crowds. He asked me to dress up like him to distract the fans and he would sneak out the back door. ‘I had to pinch myself when I was sitting on the floor with the King of Pop eating a curry and watching Bruce Lee movies.’ He produced white socks, a military-style jacket and sunglasses for me to put on,” he said.

"The US security team of four bodyguards came with me through the front of the hotel. People were grabbing my hands and talking to me as if I was their hero,” he added.
