Things could be a lot worse for David Beckham. Sure, his LA Galaxy team tanked during yesterday’s match with Gamba Osaka. But look at the bright side- they’re hanging loose in Hawaii!
The English stud offered some comments to the press regarding his perspective on the 1-0 loss, citing everything from poor attitude to unfamiliar conditions.
"Obviously it’s always disappointing when you lose the game, when you don’t start off the game well and properly, then that happens. They capitalized on that first breakthrough, but we got back towards the end of the first half and we had a few chances. The second half was a lot better, we started playing football, we started playing with confidence and we created chances. But you don’t get anything unless you put them away. We had to adapt a lot to the pitch, we didn’t train on the pitch at all. It took us a little bit of time to adjust.”
Prior to the game, the paparazzi caught up with Becks and his teammates walking around and signing autographs. He looked happy to oblige the enthusiastic onlookers, sporting a white t-shirt, long blue Adidas shorts and a questionable socks/sandals combo.
