Victoria Talbot of Hype Inc., the actress’ publicist, says that producer Graham King told her that unless the spread was canceled, Scorsese would edit the actress’ love scene in the action flick.
"Who the hell did I think I was booking the Steppin' Out spread without approval . . . He said Scorsese was really mad and that he would edit Sallie out if I did not cancel the spread," the New York Post quoted Victoria, as telling Steppin' Out's Chaunce Hayden.
However, the interview took place, and the producers took a decision to chop Toussaint's big sex scene with Jack Nicholson and another woman to just a few seconds in the Oscar winning film.
Scorsese's representatives were unavailable for comment.
