Lindsay Lohan has been taking a break from her normal routine, and what better getaway destination that Paris, France?

With BFF Samantha Ronson in tow, the “Mean Girls” actress was spotted undergoing some retail therapy in the French Capital yesterday while chatting incessantly on her mobile phone.

Given the fact that the Cannes Film Festival kicked off today, it’s more than likely that LiLo will be catching a plane to the South of France in the next day or so to join in on all the festivities.

And despite being dumped from a film, as well as the Jill Stuart ad campaign, Lindsay has reportedly signed a new deal with Italian lifestyle brand Fornarina. The company plans to open a flagship store in New York City later this year, and Miss Lohan will be appearing in ads for the brand early next year.

A rep for Fornarina told press, “[Lindsay] is that very self-confident, dynamic woman. She’s got a lot of attitude. That’s what we’re hoping our customer will aspire to.”

Lindsay Lohan Takes In Paris Culture

Spotted hitting the shops of Paris during the day with gal pal Samantha Ronson by her side, Lindsay Lohan is making the most of her trip to the City of Lights.

And on Monday night, the Mean Girls starlet headed off to an appearance at the Fornarina Urban Beauty Show, held at the Carrousel du Louvre.

According to press reports, the Italian brand’s event featured art from around the world - some of which definitely caught LiLo’s eye.

In related news, Lindsay has been getting positive feedback on her upcoming studio album - with Ryan Seacrest most recently doting his praise.

“I’ve heard some of it, I like what I’ve heard so far,” Seacrest told People magazine at KIIS-FM’s annual Wango Tango concert on Saturday.

“Lindsay is taking it very seriously,” the 33-year-old American Idol host said. “She’s working really hard. She’s working with great producers.”

Seacrest added, “She’s told me that she’s going to come in and debut the entire record with me on my KIIS-FM [radio show]. We’re going to play some of the songs, and go through the whole thing together.”

Jay-Z celebrates 38th birthday with Beyonce in Paris

Jay-Z celebrated his 38th birthday by watching an erotic cabaret show in Paris with girlfriend Beyoncé Knowles.

The hip-hop star arrived in the French capital and checked into the exclusive Le Meurice hotel on Monday (03 Dec 2007), with Beyoncé joining him the following day, Jay-Z's actual birthday.

In the evening, the pair - who spent most of Tuesday morning (04 Dec 2007) in their hotel suite - enjoyed a limo drive around the romantic capital of the world, before heading to L'Avenue for an intimate dinner.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé, 26, then caught the late show at the famous cabaret club le Crazy Horse Paris.

The couple sipped champagne as they watched a troupe of semi-naked women perform the saloon's sensual Forever Crazy Revue in the velvet and mirror adorned venue.

Jay-Z's celebrations are more low-key than last year when Beyoncé reportedly splashed out $3 million for a three-day birthday extravaganza in the Caribbean.

The singer charted two planes to fly 20 of the rapper's closest friends to the paradise island of St. Martin.

The exclusive group - which is said to have included Beyoncé's former Destiny's Child bandmate Kelly Rowland - relaxed on a private yacht and were treated to a constant supply of champagne and luxury foods.

Katie Holmes with daughter Suri in Paris

Katie Holmes and daughter Suri visited Paris on a shopping trip Thursday (23 Aug 2007) while husband Tom Cruise stayed back in Berlin for the filming of Valkyrie.

Katie hurt herself during the sojourn when she twisted her ankle following a misstep and fell down with Suri in her arms.

She was lucky to get away with just a skinned knee, thanks to the quick reactions of her bodyguard who averted a more serious mishap. Baby Suri was unhurt and we think blissfully unaware of what transpired.

Katie had to make a stop at her hotel to mend her knee.

Later the mother and daughter left Paris by private jet at Le Bourget Airport, France.
