Britney snaps up $9m Beverly Hills home

Britney Spears will soon be shifting homes after snapping up a nine million dollar French country estate in Beverly Hills.

The singer recently sold off the Malibu home she shared with former husband Kevin Federline, and closed the deal on her new home.

Britney will certainly be living in style for the 8,500 square foot estate comes with seven bedrooms, six bathrooms and a gourmet kitchen, reports Usmagazine.

The singer’s new home also comes equipped with a pool, spa and lush grounds.

In the meanwhile, Britney is still recuperating from the backlash of her panned performance at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

Spears kicked off the VMAs with a lip-synched three-minute show opening performance of her latest track "Gimme More" on Sept 9, 2007.

However, her attempt to show that she’s still got rhythm backfired as she could hardly keep time to the music and by the end wasn't even synchronizing with the words of her own song.
While the singer, wearing nothing but a sparkly black bikini and ill-fitting blond weave, sang, fellow artists in the audience started rolling their eyes.

The New York Post commented that the act was "Totally lame, pathetically lip-synched", the New York Times said: "She didn't disappoint; she was awful", with Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg added comments like "The lip-synching didn't work" and "She looks like she doesn't care. This is like a bad stripper."

Paris Hilton buys Mediterranean-style mansion in Beverly Hills

Less than eight days after selling her Hollywood pad for 4.25 million dollars, Paris Hilton has reportedly purchased a five-bedroom mansion in Beverly Hills, California.

The hotel heiress sold off her 3.000-square foot, Spanish style pad which she bought in 2004, as she wanted to relocate to a secluded place to avoid the paparazzi after the drama following her arrest and release.

According to US Weekly the new home located in a gated community has its own gym and a gourmet kitchen.

The Mediterranean-style mansion also has a pool, complete with Jacuzzi, waterfall and hotel-style cabanas, as well as separate guest quarters and a separate office.

Earlier, the residents of Hollywood hills circulated a petition asking their neighbors to bring in the police to attend to the swarm of photogs and noise levels due to Hilton’s arrest.

Actress Cameron Diaz was also among the residents who expressed her displeasure.

Rihanna Goes Shopping in Beverly Hills

She shopped at Madison and then had her driver take her across the street to Diavolina.

Eddie Murphy's 'the Beverly Hills C**k', says Victoria Beckham

Singer Victoria Beckham has lunched a scathing attack on Hollywood star Eddie Murphy and has called him ‘the Beverly Hills C**k' for treating her colleague Mel B in a callous way after she got pregnant with his child.

Posh Spice hit out at the actor in a new TV show that will be aired soon.

“I'd spit in his food definitely. I'd chop his dick off too,” the News of the World quoted her, as saying.

"It's a declaration of war. It's about Posh becoming a controversial figure in the States who is brave enough to slag off other big names," a Hollywood observer said.

Last year, the Academy-award nominated actor had dumped the former Spice Girls member on air, and demanded a paternity test after Mel B announced that she is expecting his child.

In June this year, a DNA test proved that the actor is Mel B’s baby’s dad.
