Miley Cyrus Rocks Z100’s Zootopia

Disney sensation Miley Cyrus took the stage at Z100’s Zootopia 2008 at the IZOD Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The Hannah Montana actress/singer has been making more and more public appearances as of late - doing her best to put the Vanity Fair photo debacle behind her.

Meanwhile, Miley recently came to the defense of troubled young stars such as Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan, saying: “Everyone has their time. And I think most 21 to 25-year-olds go through this kind of thing. Basically, they’re being normal 21-year-olds, especially Lindsay (Lohan). I mean, most of that’s pretty normal. If you went to most high schools, I could point out Britneys and Lindsays.”

“I guess that’s why I’m so adamant about the Britneys and Lindsays and whatever, because I know those people and I know they have good hearts and they’re just struggling,” she adds.

Miley Cyrus Steps Out with Mickey and Minnie

Trying to wash away remembrance of the controversial Vanity Fair photo shoot, Miley Cyrus posed with Disney characters Mickey and Minnie Mouse at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida on Thursday (May 1).

The Hannah Montana star was in town to promote the “Disney Channel Games,” which is a made-for-television, Olympic-style competition slated to air on the Disney Channel this summer.

Meanwhile, the 15-year-old singer/actress will not be attending her first scheduled public appearance since the Vanity Fair photo release.

She was supposed to be on hand for a Disney Channel media party in Orlando on Friday (May 2), but is no longer expected, Disney reps confirmed to press.

Miley Cyrus Apologizes For Racy Vanity Fair Shoot

Continuing to land herself in controversial situations, Disney tween queen Miley Cyrus is upset and apologetic over a racy photo shoot taken by famous photographer Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair magazine.

The 15-year-old Hannah Montana star told press that she’s amazed the topless shots of her draped in a blanket made it into the magazine.

“I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed,” Miley said in a statement released by her reps on Sunday.

“I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.”
