Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt Party in Vegas

It seems like the ‘in’ thing to do these days - promote a party in a Las Vegas night club. And the latest celebrity duo playing host is Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag.

The evening kicked off in style at the LAX night club, with both members of the peroxide pair looking their best and putting on a smile.

Heidi sported a black spaghetti strap top with matching black stretch pants, showing off her natural (and fabricated ) assets, while Spencer opted for his bread and butter- a dark suit with matching tie and a white shirt.

And while everything seems peachy these days, according to Montag, there was a time when her relationship with Pratt was seriously in jeopardy. She recently opened up about the betrayal that led to the dissolution of their engagement.

Heidi confessed, “While I can’t get into specifics about what happened, there was definitely an emotional betrayal with another woman. I’ve definitely been betrayed by friends before, but I’ve never had a boyfriend do this to me. Anytime someone you love betrays you, it’s hard.

Especially when it’s someone that you’re close with, someone who you love.”

The pop singer wannabe has since forgiven Spencer, and insists that the whole ordeal made them stronger. “It shows you what kind of person you’re with. You see through things right away. You can’t pretend your relationship is something else. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. I think it’s helped us grow as people and as a couple.”

Paris and Nicky Hilton host New Year's Eve 2008 Party at LAX Nightclub

The Hilton sisters hosted the New Year's Eve 2008 Party at LAX Nightclub, Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Amongst those who attended were Pamela Anderson, Kevin Federline and Larry Birkhead.
Paris was dressed in a sparkling multi colored mini dress that had 'I Love Paris' written boldly on it. She matched it with golden and red high heels from Christian Louboutin.

Nicky was more sedately turned out in a jeweled neckline white dress with sequined pumps.
Pamela Anderson wore a black tiered strand mini dress harking back to her Baywatch days. She seems to forget that those days are long gone.

After having partied with Britney's ex Kevin Federline for two consecutive nights, lady at large Paris Hilton cozied up to Larry Birkhead at the event.

Lindsay Lohan pulls out of Vegas party to focus on sobriety

Lindsay Lohan has reportedly backed out of hosting a party in Las Vegas in order to focus on sobriety.

Until last week, the 21-year-old was scheduled to attend a New Year's Eve party at Vegas nightclub LAX.

However, on Oct 29, the actress’ rep said, "Lindsay will no longer be hosting New Year's Eve in Las Vegas."

Last week, a source revealed that Lindsay didn’t necessarily want to host but was contractually compelled due to the 21st birthday plans at LAX sister-club Pure that she had to cancel in July in order to go to rehab.

Meanwhile, Lohan's rep said that the actress, who has been out of rehab at Utah's Cirque Lodge for less than a month, "continues to focus on her work and sobriety."

However, a source revealed that the Vegas party plans have not been scrapped forever.

According to the source, the deal between Lohan and Pure remains in place, and "they will both wait for a day" when she can host an event for the company, perhaps even "another year from now.”

Britney Spears and Criss Angel Practice Up

Just four years ago, she made waves by locking lips with Madonna at the MTV Video Music Awards. Now, Britney Spears is planning on making her triumphant return to the world of pop music with the assistance of magician Criss Angel.

The latest on the upcoming MTV VMA performance indicates that the ‘Mindfreak’ star will help Britney “vanish and then reappear several times through mirrors during her performance.”

And speaking of vanishing and reappearing, Britney got a little practice in during her hosting duties at the opening of Club LAX in Las Vegas.

After spending 20 minutes or so in the VIP area at a table next to the Illusionist, Britney and Criss “swayed to Timbaland’s “The Way I Are” and “Shake What Your Mamma Gave Ya”. At one point, she took Angel’s red lollipop out of his mouth and put it in her mouth.”

Britney then made her first disappearing act, heading to the ultra-private Noir Bar next door.
And after taking an hour break from her 3 hour, $100,000 hosting gig, Britney reappeared at LAX and “was rejoined by Angel, who danced with her for several seconds before taking off one of his necklaces and putting it around her neck.”

Twenty minutes later, Brit and Criss disappeared for good, leaving for Noir Bar together. According to those at the event, “she spent about 40 minutes in two shifts at LAX for her much-advertised hosting gig, all of it in the VIP area.”

And a $100,000 check to go along with it. Now that’s what we call magic!

Britney Spears: It’s On!

So far, 2007 has been a year of disappointment and embarrassment for Britney Spears. But hold on just a second! With a high-profile club opening last night, and a comeback album complete with MTV VMA performance, this Louisiana girl just may have what it takes to own the music world again.

Last night marked the opening of the Luxor Hotel’s LAX nightclub, and Britney was hired on to do the opening hostess duties. She showed up at the party looking fabulous with an air of confidence we haven’t seen in her as of late.

The “Gimme More” singer wore a scandalously short white dress complete with a halter top and black pumps. She topped off the look with some long blonde extensions and a straw hat.

And speaking of “Gimme More,” Brit is planning a killer MTV Video Music Awards performance to bring her new single to the masses. She’ll be working with Mindfreak Illusionist Criss Angel.

According to a source, “Angel will guide Spears in and out of a series of mirrors, making it seem as though she vanishes and then reappears several times. Other dancers in the complicated number are being called upon to harness up for simulated flight.”
